Rebirth, Part I
Q4 1990

Inflation, steadily growing in the final few years of the Union's existence, skyrockets as the average Trilkassian struggles to obtain even the most basic of necessities. State assets are frantically sold off to the highest bidder as former CRSWF apparatchiks scramble for wealth and influence under the new capitalist order. Violent crime runs rampant through the streets of the largest Trilkassian cities. Countless Crimzon Revolutionary Army and Union Security Directorate personnel, their services largely rendered unnecessary, turn to increasingly-questionable means to make ends meet. Ethnic tensions once kept in check under the watchful eyes of the Crimzon regime flare up once more, threatening to ignite conflict between rival peoples.

In the midst of all this turmoil amidst the post-Crimzon power vacuum, a certain Trilkassian political icon steps up to the challenge and prepares to take the reins of this troubled young nation... but who exactly are they?
